Trust & independence

Verification only works if you trust the verifier.

Sterling is structured to protect client interests first, with clear boundaries, private handling, and no incentive to inflate contractor claims.

Operating principles

How we stay independent

Our engagements are scoped for clarity and proportion. We report what we observe, what we cannot verify, and what we recommend next.

01

Client-first reporting

We work for the investor or family office funding the project. Not for the contractor, agent, or local introducer managing it.

02

Confidential by default

Inquiries, documents, and field findings are handled privately. We do not publish client project details without explicit permission.

03

Evidence over narrative

Reports anchor to timestamped photos, invoices, and site observations. Not forwarded WhatsApp updates or unsupported claims.

04

Proportionate scope

We recommend the smallest effective verification scope first, then expand only where risk warrants it.

What we do not do

Clear boundaries protect trust

Sterling Oversight is an independent verification layer. Not a contractor, broker, or legal adviser.

No contractor kickbacks

We do not accept referral fees or success fees from builders, agents, or suppliers involved in the projects we review.

Not legal or investment advice

We provide verification and reporting to inform your decisions. Legal, tax, and investment choices remain with you and your advisers.

No guarantee of outcome

We reduce information asymmetry and highlight risk. We cannot guarantee contractor performance or project returns.
